Product Scope

Who is PixieToolkit for?

PixieToolkit is for teachers, reading specialists, interventionists, and school teams who support students with dyslexia and other struggling readers. It works for individual teachers and school teams.

Is this only for dyslexia?

Is Pixie only for dyslexia?

Pixie is designed for structured literacy and dyslexia support, but it works for any teacher planning reading intervention lessons for struggling readers.

The Science of Reading

Pixie is built on evidence-based structured literacy principles. It supports systematic, explicit phonics instruction and helps teachers implement research-backed methodologies like Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Slingerland.

AI & Workflow

Does Pixie write lessons for me?

Pixie helps draft the first version of a lesson based on your templates, goals, or past lessons. You review, edit, and approve everything before it's used. AI speeds up the work; you make the decisions.

Do teachers stay in control?

Yes. Pixie is designed as a teacher-supervised workflow tool. You approve every output. Nothing goes to students without your review and decision.

Can I reuse and adapt existing lessons?

Absolutely. That's one of Pixie's core features. Save lessons, templates, and materials to your library, then duplicate and adapt them for different groups, pacing, or complexity levels. Everything stays connected so you maintain continuity across students and sessions.

Does Pixie help with progress monitoring and documentation?

Yes. Pixie helps you track what each student has mastered, capture session notes quickly, and maintain connected intervention history over time. This makes it easier to see patterns, preserve continuity, and document your work, but Pixie does not generate IEP reports or guarantee compliance with any specific requirements.

Can Pixie help me write IEP reports or progress reports?

Pixie helps you capture notes and track student progress during instruction, which can inform your reports. However, teachers remain responsible for writing official IEP documents and ensuring they meet legal and district requirements. Pixie is a documentation aid, not a compliance tool.
